When people ask me what my least favourite song is or what track gets me reaching for the off switch then this is a no-brainer. This track presses all my buttons and has me screaming “Alexa STOP!” if ever it comes on.
This nursery rhyme of a track is so truly awful I can’t imagine anyone liking it but it was a massive hit around the world, topping the charts on both sides of the Atlantic and across the globe. However, I hate this song with a real passion. It truly nauseates me. Without a doubt in my tiny mind – one of the worst successful records of all time. Hideous.
The best thing about the track is where it borrows heavily from Patti Labelle’s Love, Need and Want You but that’s no excuse for the rest of the recording.
