Highest UK Chart position: 100 (January 31 1987)
This was a song I bought back in early 1986. Like so many other singles that I bought at the time I assumed it must have made the top 40 – as it was often played at clubs I went to and was certainly well known in the circles I was in – but a quick gander at the official singles chart (UK) has just informed me that this – one of my all-time favorite tunes – reached the chart position of 100 on 31 Jan 1987.
As was my preference back then I predominantly bought 12 inch singles and this was no different. The 12 inch featuring two versions of the song.
This has been a regular track on my Indie radio show over the past decade or so and It’s still one I play regularly in my real life.
